The IHS, a vital federal health services agency serving over 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives, will undergo a 10-year, $2.5 billion transformation. GDIT, a unit of General Dynamics, will leverage Oracle Health’s proven cloud-based enterprise EHR system to replace the existing infrastructure. The initiative aims to enhance care team coordination, elevate patient experiences, and empower clinicians with modern tools for informed decision-making. Running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the system ensures scalability, security, and compliance in a FedRAMP high cloud environment, promising improved healthcare outcomes for millions of indigenous individuals.
