In a groundbreaking collaboration, Oracle Health and General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) are set to revamp the Indian Health Service’s (IHS) electronic health record (EHR) system. The IHS, a vital federal health services agency serving over 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives, will undergo a 10-year, $2.5 billion transformation. GDIT, a unit of General Dynamics, will leverage Oracle Health’s proven cloud-based enterprise EHR system to replace the existing infrastructure. The initiative aims to enhance care team coordination, elevate patient experiences, and empower clinicians with modern tools for informed decision-making.
